Date: Friday 19th Mar
Time: All Day
We will be holding a non-uniform day on Friday 19th March in support of Comic Relief. Over the last few weeks Mrs Kirby has been collating a series of jokes sent in by the children into a special edition Chilton Foliat PS Comic Relief Joke Book, which will be on sale running up to the day itself. More details can be found in the attached poster.
Why did the teacher wear sunglasses?
Because her class was so bright!
BOOM BOOM!
Sir Lenny Henry (Co-Founder of Comic Relief) has said that “Following a difficult year for everyone in 2020, this year Comic Relief is all about raising money through humour. We all need cheering up, so this year Red Nose Day will be a bit different. Of course we want to raise as much money as possible for people who really need it in the UK and around the world. But we also want to make you smile and bring you some laughter over the coming weeks”.
As a school we are planning to support this wonderful charity by:
1)Friday 19th March will be a non-uniform day for all classes. Following this year’s theme we would encourage all children to wear an outfit that makes them cheerful! This could be bold, bright colours, crazy hair styles or their favourite team sports kit etc. etc. As Fridays are our school PE day – you will need to ensure that all outfits are safe and comfortable and are suitable to be worn for outside PE. Trainers must be worn by all children. Due to the current COVID restrictions we are unable to bring bags or changes of clothes into school – so please do make sure your child’s chosen ‘Cheerful Outfit’ is PE proof!
2)The fabulous Mrs Kirby has very kindly been creating a special edition Chilton Foliat Primary School book of favourite, funniest, fantastic jokes! Which is available to order in exchange for a donation to Comic Relief 2021. Please see the attached poster for further details.
Please contact the school office (admin@chiltonfoliat.wilts.sch.uk) if you have any questions.
